Time for Teletubbies!
Saturday, October 11, 2003
Purple, Green, Yellow, and Red are super for decorating, and turning everyone into teletubbies was easy and fun!

Invitations:
I took a Teletubby graphic and substituted our 4 faces for the 4 Teletubbies.
  Costumes:
Kian’s Po costume was an e-bay find, though I was surprised when it arrived in the mail and had NO head antennae, so I needed to add that using wire and red foam.

The rest of us just found the appropriate colored shirts and shorts (from Walmart or thrift stores, though I was never able to find purple shorts....surprise surprise).

We asked guests to come in red, yellow, purple, or green, and then furnished them with head antennae and aluminum foil ‘telley-tummies’ they could decorate themselves with stickers and tape to their stomachs.

Decorations:
Teletubbyland Photo Wall: blue and green craft paper available by the yard at Wishing well, with the house and landscaping hand-painted, and several flower pots with silk flowers, and the ‘telescoping speaker’ made out of spray painted PVC pipe and and aluminum foil.
Red, yellow, green, and purple streamers & balloons
Teletubby toys, books, pictures, drawings

Food:
Pinwheels (turkey tortilla roll-ups)
Tubby Toast (Bagel bite Pizzas)
Teletubby cake (courtesy Britta Peterson)

Activities:
Decorate your tele-tummy
Decorate your own Teletubby Cookies (use gingerbread man cookie cutter and add different shaped antennae, and have appropriate colored frosting)
