Next Generation

For a Star Trek mystery party, featuring the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Tracia was to be Deanna Troi and Doug Commander Will Riker.

For Deanna's dress, right, I found a turtleneck dress at a local thrift store (called "Re-runs", cost=$5) and asked my friend Estie Muranyi to help me cut it into an "Enterprise" scoop neckline. The hair is a wig, the headband uses the left over material from the turtleneck and some beads. (I changed the color in photoshop above!)

I did not make Doug's costume, left (see Britta Peterson's Site). However, just in anticipation for this party, Doug grew a beard!!! Yes, that's a real beard. Doug doesn't have a twin brother, though--mocking that episode from Next Generation where Will Riker meets another "him" via a transporter accident (aren't transporter accidents pretty much the key in most Star Trek plots?), Britta Peterson took a picture of Doug in both uniforms, then Photoshopped them together!
