Babylon 5 -Delenn & Sheridan

We were late to discover the show Babylon 5--we didn't start watching it until it was already off the air! However, after watching all 5 seasons in one summer, we were of course inspired beyond belief to come as the show's romantic couple, John Sheridan and Delenn.

Delenn's dress is from a green dress with the arms taken out and brown silk shirt sewn underneath , both from the local Salvation army (cost=$5 total), adorned with fabric store ribbon (cost=$15!). Her "bone" is a headband paper-macheed and painted. The boots are ones I had in high school that I seem to wear to every Renaissance Fair.

Doug's post-Earth Alliance coat was an altered tuxedo coat found at the Purple Heart store ($15, and included matching pants!), adorned with grey bias tape and checkered and silver remnant fabric from the fabric store. I bought the patches online, the ‘brass’ details are painted cut-up Pepsi cans, and the gold medal rank insignias is a barrette. I shaped his communication ‘badge’ on his hand out of moldable plastic.

For those Babylon 5 fans, we are specifically from the episode "War Without End" (part I and/or II), and our "time stabilizer devices" are the ribbon spools from my Delenn dress. John's...I mean Doug's, is broken on purpose.
