Halloween Costume
 
 
After returning from a month-long tour of Europe which ended in France, we felt right at home in these costumes--French Maid and Butler! Tracia's costume is homemade from a pattern (time=1 hour at the fabric store, and countless hours of sewing, cost=more than $30!). Doug's is from his wedding tux shirt, vest, and tie, and a tail-coat purchased at the Purple Heart thrift store (time= 30 minutes of searching through racks, cost=under $10!). Needless to say, trying to find clothes at thrift stores and altering them is a whole lot easier and less expensive than sewing from scratch (not to mention I'm not that great at sewing from scratch).
